KX Screenshot Privacy Policy

KX Screenshot is a Chrome browser extension developed by Kodeonix. It allows users to capture a selected area, the visible portion of a webpage, or a full-page screenshot.

This Privacy Policy explains how KX Screenshot handles information when the extension is used.

Information We Collect

KX Screenshot does not collect, store, sell, share, or transmit personal information or user data.

The extension does not collect:

  • Names, email addresses, or contact details
  • Account or authentication information
  • Browsing history

  • Analytics or usage-tracking data

Screenshot and Website Content

KX Screenshot accesses the currently active webpage only when the user manually activates the extension.

The extension may temporarily process visible webpage content in the browser to create a screenshot. This processing takes place locally on the user’s device.

KX Screenshot does not:

  • Upload screenshots to Kodeonix servers
  • Send webpage content to external servers
  • Store screenshots remotely
  • Retain copies of captured webpages
  • Monitor browsing activity in the background

Screenshots are saved directly to the user’s device through the browser.

Browser Permissions

KX Screenshot uses the following Chrome permissions:

activeTab

Used to access the currently active webpage only after the user activates the extension.

contextMenus

Used to add the “Screenshot” option to the browser’s right-click menu.

scripting

Used to display the screenshot toolbar and temporarily run the screenshot capture interface on the active webpage.

These permissions are used only to provide the extension’s screenshot functionality.

Local Processing

All screenshot creation and image processing take place locally in the user’s browser.

KX Screenshot does not operate external servers for processing screenshots and does not transfer captured content to Kodeonix or any third party.

Data Sharing and Sale

KX Screenshot does not sell, rent, share, or transfer user data to third parties.

The extension does not use advertising networks, tracking services, analytics tools, or data brokers.

Data Storage and Retention

KX Screenshot does not maintain a user database and does not retain screenshots, webpage content, browsing history, or personal information.

Screenshot files remain under the user’s control on their own device.

Remote Code

KX Screenshot does not download or execute remote code.

All code required to operate the extension is included in the extension package distributed through the Chrome Web Store.

Third-Party Services

KX Screenshot does not send screenshot content or user data to third-party services.

The extension may rely on standard browser functionality provided by Google Chrome to run and save files.

Children’s Privacy

KX Screenshot does not knowingly collect personal information from children or from any other users.

Because the extension does not collect personal information, it does not create user profiles or maintain information about a user’s age.

Security
